Pumpkin Fest

An astounding variety of entries participated in last year’s Kunes Country Pumpkin Street Drags held during Mount Carroll’s Pumpkin Fest and organizers are anticipating even more in 2019 when the event is held Saturday, Oct. 26.

The Mount Carroll Pumpkin Fest on Saturday, Oct. 26, will offer a variety of family-friendly activities to help get everyone in the spirit of Halloween.

Activities include the Kids & Critters Costume Parade, Halloween Story Time & Crafts at the Library, Decorate-a-pumpkin activity, Mini-Gourd Build n’ Race track, pumpkin slingshot, ping pong ball drop, Touch-A-Truck, Paranormal Ghost Tours, the Kunes Country Pumpkin Street Drags at 2 p.m. and the Zombie Zoom 5K walk/run through the streets of Mount Carroll starts at 4:30 p.m.

In addition, the Farmer's Market will open at 8 a.m., food vendors will open at 10 a.m. and the Mount Carroll Fire Department will host a regional water fight competition starting at 11 a.m. at the “burning grounds” next to the Galena Street Bridge.
