Mark your calendar for Oct. 5, 6, and 7. The Carroll County 708 Mental Health Board is once again hosting a concert to raise funds to continue providing services to local residents.

This unique event will be hosted by Brooke Byam and will feature outstanding musicians and great entertainment for the entire family.

Performers for the dynamic show will be: Brooke Byam (Country) featuring the PeOple (Marques Morel, Bo Coleman, Michael Gothard, and Forrest Carter Rische); John Till (Delta Blues); Lillie Mae Rische (Bluegrass); Jaci Leigh (Traditional Pop); Riley Horton (Ragtime); and Andrew Jacob Holm (Storyteller). Check them out on YouTube for a preview of their talent.

The second annual fundraiser is scheduled for Oct. 5-6 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. The concert will be held at Timber Lake Playhouse, 8215 Black Oak Rd., Mount Carroll.

Advance tickets are $20 and tickets purchased at the door $25. Group rates are available; groups of 10 or more receive a discount of 10%. Tickets only cost $10 for those 15 and under. Reservations can be made now by calling Timber Lake Playhouse box office at 815-244-2035.

There will be a face painter at all three performances, Crystal Collinson of Crystal Blue Artistic Expressions, who will charge $5 per person.

Proceeds benefit these Carroll County mental health agencies: CASA, Carroll County Substance Education Coalition, Lutheran Social Services, Riverview Center, Rolling Hills Progress Center, Sinnissippi Centers and Tyler's Justice Center.
