ROSEVILLE—Charles Kirkpatrick, a beloved Mount Carroll High School industrial arts teacher and coach in the 1940s and 1950s, is celebrating his 100th birthday on Sunday, Sept. 22.
His family is hosting an open house from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Roseville Community Center formerly the grade school.

“Kirk” is still living at home on his own, is still driving and continues doing his woodworking.
All eight of his children are expected to be at the open house along with many family members, including a younger brother from California and a sister-in-law from Michigan.
He and his wife, Norma, celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary before her death a couple of years ago.
