The Mount Carroll Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors recently installed a new bench outside its downtown Main Street office to honor and thank Lyle Law and the late Kevin Powers for their many years of leadership and service to the company.
Lyle Law joined the Board in 1960 and retired in 2011, serving 51 years.
Kevin Powers joined the Board in 1994 and passed away earlier in 2020.
Law and Powers both served many years as the president of the Board of Directors.
Mount Carroll Mutual Insurance Company was founded in 1888 by farmers in the Mount Carroll area. Law and Powers contributed 77 years toward providing for the company policyholders’ well being.
