The Savanna Chamber of Commerce will host a Spook Walk from 6:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Old Mill Park nature trail.
This year’s theme is “The 80’s Slashback.” Admission is $3 per person.
Children are welcome to attend the spook walk with a parent. Parental discretion is advised due to the scary nature of the trail.
Young children and those easily scared may want to visit the Spook Walk between 6-7 p.m. while it is still daylight. This will be the more family friendly walk. After 7 p.m. is when the real scares begin.
Persons who would like to volunteer to help with the Spook Walk or become a sponsor are asked to contact the Chamber of Commerce.
Savanna’s Halloween parade will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. Participants may lineup at 2:30 p.m. in the alley west of Main and Division.
The parade will travel south down Main Street, ending at the city parking lot south of the fire station.
Trick or Treat will be from 4 to 6 p.m. in Savanna. Residents wanting trick-or-treaters are asked to turn on their porch light to indicate they have treats for children.
