The 2nd Annual Holiday Market will be held Friday, Dec. 6, from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the historic Kraft Building located at 320 N. Main St. in downtown Mount Carroll.

The Holiday Market is part of the Tour of Homes/Christmas Walk event sponsored by the Mount Carroll Chamber of Commerce.

“More than 20 vendors will be representing handcrafted offerings perfect for the start of your holiday shopping,” said Holiday Market organizers. “Come join us in our second year of presenting local crafts, holiday items, and foodstuffs.

“Some of the wonderful items you can look forward to will be hand-knitted blankets, hats and mittens, candles and soaps, homemade jellies, jams and syrups, handcrafted wood items, artisan candies and baked goods, distinctive jewelry, seasonal decorative wreaths, hand-painted inspirational signs and unique household items.”

Added organizers, “Festivities start after the community tree lighting at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, where you can join us for hot soup, hot chocolate, and an early viewing of the vendors. We continue Saturday at 10 a.m. with Pictures with Santa from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and the high school chorale singers, "Storm & Friends," performing from 1-1:30 p.m.
