West Carroll High School FCCLA officers and members donated $1,000 to West Carroll Primary School fourth grader Libby Thulen on Thursday, March 7. The 7th annual West Carroll High School FCCLA trivia night was held Saturday, March 2, at Manny's Pizza in Savanna.

Twenty FCCLA members and National Honor Society members helped run the evening's event. Matt Magill served as the announcer for the night and Sharon Guilinger's student-teacher, Codie Geisz, helped by developing trivia questions and running the laptop/projector at the score table.

Thirteen teams participated and gave generously to help the FCCLA group raise over $1,000 to donate to the Liz Rath and Libby Thulen families.

Many area businesses donated door prizes, including: Elkay Manufacturing, Savanna-Thomson State Bank, Sandburr Run Golf Course, River Valley Designs, Kunes Country Auto Group, Shaw's Express, Midwest Motors, McDonald’s, Mount Carroll Home Center, The Answer Fitness, Café Crumbles, Tangles, Country Peddler Floral & Gifts, Mount Carroll Banking Center, JC Carey Motors, River Hair, CDG Ceramics, Buffalo Bill Gaming, West Carroll Sports Boosters, The Lodge, Sullivan’s Foods, Dusty's, Mount Carroll Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, Subway, Blackhawk Area Credit Union, Mount Carroll Bowling Center, Mount Carroll Vet Clinic.

“A huge thank you goes out to Manny's Pizza for their wonderful staff and support of our trivia event,” said FCCLA advisor Sharon Guilinger. “Every year they make this event possible for us.”
