Signage was erected Monday, June 20, at the site of the William J. Davis Community Center. The multi-million dollar facility will be located on land just north and west of the West Carroll Middle School along South East Street. Site work is scheduled to begin after Mount Carroll’s Fourth of July celebration at the adjacent football field. After dirt is brought in to fill the ravine, it will need to settle for between six to eight weeks before construction can begin, officials said.
