WICHITA, Kan.—Beloved husband and father Thomas Harl Brock, 74, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Mount Carroll, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at University Congregational Church in Wichita.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UCC Music Scholarship Fund, KMUW Wichita, or the Mount Carroll Community Foundation, P.O. Box 123, Mount Carroll, IL 61053.

He was born in 1947 to Elmer and Lula Brock of Mount Carroll. He graduated from Mount Carroll High School in 1965 and attended Shimer College for two years before transferring to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Radio and Television Communications and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology.

In 1973 he married Patricia Tucker and shortly afterwards they moved from Illinois to Wichita, Kan. He worked for KPTS, the local public television station, and later moved on to Wichita State University, where he worked as the manager and director of the Media Resources Center until he retired in 2012. He and Patricia raised two daughters.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia, of Wichita; two daughters, Amy (Morgan) Green of Goleta, Calif., and Amanda of Chicago; and granddaughters, Emily and Ella Green of Goleta, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lula Brock of Mount Carroll.
