SAVANNA—Harvey Cross, 86, of Savanna, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford.

A visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. Friday, Nov, 8, at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna.

Following the visitation, family and friends will go in procession from the funeral home to Savanna Spring Lake Cemetery for a graveside service at 1:15 p.m.

Harvey was born Sept. 30, 1933, in Beecher, Ill., the son of Richard and Lila (Baughman) Cross. After high school, Harvey went to work for Arrow Road Construction Co. He dedicated 52 years of his life to his company, ultimately rising to the position of vice president.

Later in his life in 1986, Harvey met and married Peggy Siedenburg. The two celebrated 33 wonderful years of marriage before Harvey's passing.

Harvey will always be remembered for his tremendous work ethic, his love of mowing the lawn, and his affinity for cigars.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Peggy Cross; his four children, Scott, Dawn, Pamela, and Mark; as well as many extended family members and friends.
