BENSENVILLE—Phyllis Johnson, 90, of Bensenville, formerly of Savanna, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at home.

Phyllis was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Lakefield, Minn., to Bessie (Lane) and Floyd Kinnan.

Phyllis and her late husband Edward Johnson lived for many years in Savanna, where they were avid supporters of the Savanna High School wrestling team, the Savanna Art League and later were involved in the local auction and antiques business.

She is survived by one brother, Phillip Kinnan of Mason City, Iowa; and by her six children, Kathleen (late Bruce) Wilson, Christine “Tina” (late Ruben) Garza, Connie (Peter) McCormick, Michael Johnson, Patrick (Cheri Canier) Johnson, and Timothy (Darcy McCready) Johnson.

Phyllis was “Grandma Pancake” to her six grandchildren, Christopher, Jared and Kathleen “Katie” Garza, Kimberly and Ellen Johnson, and Theresa Canier Johnson, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William “Bill” Kinnan.

Inurnment will be private in Stillman Valley.
