Nancy was born April 20, 1948, in Prairie du Chien, Wis., the daughter of Burnell Donald and Willa Emogene (Duff) Stagman. She is a 1967 graduate of the Hanover High School. On Aug. 9, 1968, Nancy married Floyd A. Emery at the First Lutheran Church in Chadwick. They raised two children, Eric and Carrie, along with celebrating 52 years of marriage.

Nancy enjoyed supporting her family and helping others. She adored her grandchildren and loved the time they spent together. Because of her love of community and her church, Nancy enjoyed doing small acts of kindness, such as baking or sewing, for family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.

Her quilting was donated to churches, chemo-caps donated to hospitals, and her lap-quilts donated to nursing homes. In the last year, she has made many COVID masks to give to family and friends.

It was her goal to bring hope and peace to others, making the world a better place. She is a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Savanna.

Nancy will be dearly missed by her husband, Floyd Emery of Savanna; her son, Eric (Graziella) Emery of Barrington and Carrie (Chris) Prowant of Lanark; three grandchildren, Jason, Elio and Alessia; four brothers, Kenneth Stagman of Hampton, Ill., Gary (Nicki) Stagman of Granite City, Ill., Rodney Kruempel of Marianna, Ark., and Todd Kruempel of Rogers, Ark; and a sister, Kathy (David) Buckley of Maynard, Ark.

Nancy was preceded in death by both parents (her father Burnell passing when Nancy was just an infant); a still-born grandchild; a sister, Denise Kruempel; and Nancy's step-father, Walter Kruempel.
