Domenic was born July 18,1936, in Ferentillo, Italy, the son of Giuseppe and Pia (Pennacchi) Scorsolini. On Aug. 25, 1957, Domenic married Maria Fusco in her hometown of Positano, Italy. Domenic and Maria celebrated 46 years of marriage until her passing in 2004.
Domenic and Maria moved to London, England, in 1956, where Domenic could pursue his dream of becoming an expert chef. During this time, they began raising three children, Pia, Joe and Lee.
They moved to the United States in 1982 where Domenic then took an opportunity to operate his own family restaurant, opening Domenic and Maria's Restaurant in Savanna in 1985. The restaurant was well-known with a great following, remaining open until October 2010.
Domenic was passionate about cooking, but his number one passion was serving his God, Jehovah. He loved reading and studying the Bible and memorized many scriptures. He regularly engaged in the door-to-door ministry and loved to talk to people about his faith.
Domenic will be dearly missed by his loving children, a daughter, Pia (Mark) Spencer of Savanna, and two sons, Joe Scorsolini of Savanna, and Lee Scorsolini of California; a granddaughter, Melissa Goodell of Savanna; and a sister, Angela Cimino of California.
Domenic was preceded in death by his wife Maria in 2004 and two brothers.
