THOMSON—Mary Lou Robertson, 81, of Thomson, previously of Savanna, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at her home.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna, with Father Moises Apostol officiating. Burial will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Savanna.

Mary was born Feb. 25, 1938, in Stockton, the daughter of Lyman "Rudy" and Joanna "Annie" (Darr) Johnson. She attended Savanna High School, graduating with the Class of 1956.
On May 17, 1958, Mary married Gilbert Robertson at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna. Together they raised four children and celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Mary worked as a production worker for Invensys (Eaton Corporation) for 30 years until her retirement in 2000.
Mary was a loving wife and mother who cherished family gatherings with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, competitive canasta, jigsaw puzzles and watching the creatures that lived in her backyard. She was an avid fan of the University of Illinois sports teams and the Fulton Steamers.
Mary will be dearly missed by her husband, Gilbert; four children, Mark (Wendy) Robertson of Rochester Hills, Mich., Mona (Kevin) Coyle of Dixon, Mike (Tammy) Robertson of Savanna, and Melody Conner of Fulton; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Merna Keehner of Roanoke, Va.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Annie; a granddaughter, Mary Jo Conner; brother, Robert Johnson; sister-in-law, Nancy (Kramer) Johnson; and two nieces, Tamie Sue and Robin Johnson.
