SAVANNA—Gordon R. Hogan, 84, of Lakeside, Calif., formerly of Savanna, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Calif.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Gordon was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Beloit, Wis., to Richard and Lilian (Wright) Hogan. He graduated from Beloit High School in 1953.

Gordon served his country in the United States Navy from 1954-58 as a cook on the heavy cruiser, CA-73, USS Saint Paul.

On Sept. 3, 1983, Gordon married Leatrice "Lea" McCune. They celebrated 15 years until Lea's death in 1998.

Gordon worked as a traffic manager for REA Express in Iron Mountain, Mich., for several years, then as a shipping/receiving manager for Metform/MacLean-Fogg in Savanna until his retirement.

Gordon will be dearly missed by his two surviving brothers, Harry and Lee Hogan; four stepsons, Tim, Randy, Jim and Bill McCune; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leatrice, and one son, John H Hogan.
