WEBSTER GROVES, Mo.—Bernard Cramer Kneale, 82, of Webster Groves, Mo., formerly of Millstadt, Ill., died Monday, Aug. 26, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was surrounded by his family when he was welcomed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born May 20, 1937, in Mount Carroll, the middle son of Blendon and Armella Kneale, both artists and teachers at Shimer College.
Bernie had a lifelong career as an educator and minister. His passion was to help others throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Duncan; his children, Steve (Becky) and Julie Gooden (Shane); his stepchildren, Kim Rensing (Jim) and Jeff Duncan (Jennifer); his beloved grandchildren, Zach (Staci), Tyler, Conner, Gracie, Andrew, Katherine and Cameron; his brothers, Collan (Joy) and Arlie (Brenda); and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Laclede Groves Lutheran Senior Services auditorium in Webster Groves, Mo.
