Dear Editor:

I recently received my copy of the Oct. 14 Mirror-Democrat and there was a disturbing picture on Page 15 and two young cousins.

One was holding an 8-point “harvested buck” and the other a “harvested doe” — both animals with beautiful, sparkling eyes opened and bloody noses and bodies.

It was completely in poor taste. I am an animal lover and I had four nights of bad dreams after seeing the photo and reading the youth deer hunt article. I wonder about the sensitive youths who may have seen it.

If young people want to hunt and kill God’s creatures, that’s their sickness.

Please don’t print those pitiful and disgusting pictures for animal lovers to see. Shame, shame. There are other ways to control the deer population.
