Dear Editor:

Residents of Savanna are experiencing an unprecedented event: the Covid-19 pandemic. The Savanna Historical Society recognizes that we all have had to make decisions that are impacting our families, businesses and society for generations to come.

We want to know your thoughts, feelings and actions during this time. What challenges have you personally faced? How has your family been impacted? How has your work or business managed? How have you coped? Any positive changes in your life? How does this experience affect your future? What changes do you think will happen in our community, our nation our world?

These are suggestions; we want your stories. Because our mission is to collect and preserve the history of the area, the SHS is asking you, our residents, to share your experiences during this moment in our history. We will document and safeguard these stories for future generations.

These experiences can be written stories, pictures, images, video or audio testimonials. We hope children will share their thoughts and emotions, perhaps through drawings and stories.

Each and every submission will be an important part of our history. We hope you will share your thoughts, triumphs, frustrations and disappointments. This moment in time is unique; please share with us.

Names of those offering submissions will not be disclosed, unless permission is given. We will compile and preserve them for future generations to see and hope to have a future display at the museum. Please send to juliene@leadernetwork.org. Thank you for your help.
