Dear Editor:
Hello all. Back in the old days there was a thing called a newspaper. It was a way of communicating. Since we have a small window to get the word out, here goes!
Remember the good old days? Want to share those times with others that might be able to add to those stories. Rekindle old friendships, share your life now, and best of all, laugh.
Laughter makes us happy and keeps us young! And I, at least, need that as some old broad keeps looking back at me in my mirror!
You’ve probably have already made plans for the year, but please try to squeeze in coming to keep us company at Majestic Pines (old Buck’s Barn in Thomson) on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
To think we’ve been out of school for 55 years! Kind of mind-blowing. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were young and ready to conquer the world — or at least fulfill some of our dreams.
Please come back to reminisce when teachers were trying to shape us into individuals, preparing us for the big, wide world outside of our small farming community.
Picture in your mind the experiences you shared with other classmates. The good, the bad, and the crazy? Especially things you have never shared with parents, siblings and family. (You almost smiled, or maybe a lone ear escaped.) It’s all just a part of being you!
Again, please mark your calendars on Saturday, July 29, for food, fun, laughter and share your life, as we’ve all had experiences that even surprise us.
Keep your eyes open for more information coming in the mail, if we have your correct address and can find you. Feel free to contact me: Jan Knauer Cramer; home phone 815-589-3430; Facebook Janice Cramer; and email: Horsefeathers211@yahoo.com.
