Dear Editor:

The Friends of the Mount Carroll District Library recently held a successful Tea Party at the charming and newly painted Mount Carroll Community House. This annual fundraiser was again expertly coordinated by Cathy Hutchcraft, whose touch was visible in all areas from delectable treats, clever crafts and precious vintage linen pieces and teacups.

Our appreciation is extended to the City of Mount Carroll, Ben McGinnis, College Street Creations and Elizabeth Straight for their assistance. Special thanks are extended to Alyssa Nelson for her generosity and talents providing music on the harp for this special occasion. We thank all attendees for their support and donations. We recognize and gratefully acknowledge the Friends of the Library for their tireless efforts and dedicated support of the Library.

New members are always welcome to join the Friends of the Mount Carroll District Library. Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the library. Friends focus on raising funds for programming and restoration of the historic Carnegie library and promote the library to the community.
