Dear Editor:

Your Mount Carroll Ministerial Association is asking for assistance to aid those who are in need. The Food and Gift Drive has been very successful in past years, and with your help we can do it again.

Food baskets will be filled with food donations from individuals and local organizations.

Food donations may be dropped off between 4-6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 2-3, at the United Methodist Church, 216 S. Main St. Volunteers will be there to collect items curbside. Food baskets will be distributed to families and senior citizens in need.

Gift tags will be available through local churches and there will be tags on the Giving Tree located inside the Mount Carroll Pharmacy after Nov. 23. The wrapped gifts will be taken to the Methodist Church and picked up curbside on Dec. 9-10 between 4-6 pm. The gift tags will make it possible to provide clothing items to children under 18 years old in our community.

Financial donations to support these programs and to provide assistance throughout the year may be sent to the Mount Carroll Ministerial Association, P.O. Box 132, Mount Carroll, IL 61053.

The MCMA is very grateful for the donations from clubs, organizations, businesses, groups, and individuals who give from the heart to help those who may not be as fortunate as others.
