Dear Editor:

I hardly watch the news anymore. It is disheartening to listen and watch the actions of so many people and wonder what is believable or not.

I find it horrific to think of the cruelty done to one man, President Trump, for these past six or seven years. The torment he felt was placed upon him and his family daily and now he is being crucified with such vengeance.

Those who would compare him to Hitler should think that the actions of many people are similar to the actions of the Nazi Regime. I wonder, if President Trump lived in the time of Jesus, would he have hung on a cross next to Christ?

It is my hope and prayer that the inauguration goes on without incident. Let us all be able to accept what we cannot control and leave the judgment to God, for we do not know what God sees in the hearts of all of us. President Trump, as all of us, is a child of God.

Where is the togetherness that is so often demonstrated when tragedy strikes? May we all strive to unite this great country of ours into the United States of America, one nation under God with liberty and justice for all!
