West Carroll School District held its End-of-Year Appreciation and Recognition Breakfast Monday, June 3, at the middle school.
Stephanie Lehman, a special education instructor, was named the 2018-19 West Carroll Teacher of the Year. The award is sponsored by the Savanna-Thomson State Bank.

Dan Hartman, WCHS ag teacher, 31 years; Laurie Swanson, WCPS kindergarten teacher, 22 years; Brenda Gable, WCMS assistant cook, 29 years; Cindy Weems, director of Food Services, 35 years.
The following service awards were presented:
•45 years—Kenny Lego, bus driver.
•40 years—Juanita “Bootsie” Holmes, bus driver.
•30 years—Tamara Haag, WCPS 4th grade teacher; Colleen Herman, WCPS 2nd grade teacher; Don Mathey, WCHS ag teacher.
•25 years—Eileen Carlson, WCHS English teacher; Kim Falk, WCPS 4th grade teacher; Tracey Rein, WCPS principal.
•20 years—Kari Baisden, WCPS counselor; Emily Bressler, WCHS band director; Shelley Herbst, WCPS 1st grade teacher; Mary Jo Kelley, WCMS 5th grade teacher; Rhonda Law, WCPS special education teacher; Sue McIntyre, WCHS instructional aide; Mike Rowson, WCMS math teacher; Jennifer Sandrock, WCPS special education teacher.
